I deem you will agree with the subject, I am going to deal with in the letter is a burning issue that residents of Park Circus are presently facing. During the last week, no less than five pathetic incidents occurred in the city and one of those took away the life of an elderly couple. Many elderly couples in the locality reside alone in their apartments and take advantage of that, the hooligans continue to raid their houses. Even during early morning hours, they have robbed morning walkers of their valuables. Unfortunately, the street lights of this area are out of order making it easier for the anti-socials to carry with their illegal activities. The area has become a den of anti-social. The roads have become less accessible owing to their fear and we are counting our days in fear and panic.
It is high time to control the rise of anti-social and unlawful activities. On behalf of the residents, I fervently request the administration to take effective steps against the rising issue.

The law and order in the suburbs of Kolkata are at a toss. Anti-socials are gaining momentum and the involvement of young ones is eye-striking. There are frequent incidences of vandalism, robbery, street drinking and burglary. The anti-socials come on motorbikes and rob pedestrians of their valuables. Last week, a father to daughter was threatened for protesting against their disrespectful attitude towards his daughter. Card playing and drinking on the open street have become a norm. Fearing them people cannot protest against such nuisances.
The situation is likely to deteriorate if stern actions are not taken immediately by the police. The only way to root it out is to enforce strict laws to punish the offender. I think the right people will come forward to raise their voices against social crimes.
