Subject: Yoga workshop enlightened about the importance of yoga
I am writing this letter to the column of your esteemed daily to express my opinion about the importance of yoga in the modern-day.
I would like to let you know that I have recently participated in a yoga workshop organised by our school on the occasion of International yoga day. This was the first time, I participated in such a yoga workshop. Renowned yoga guru, Swami Ramananda was present to enlighten us about the importance of yoga. In the workshop, we learned about proper yogic postures relevant for modern-day lives.
This one day workshop has completely changed my perspective about yoga and mental and physical wellbeing. The entire experience was so peaceful and refreshing that I am quite convinced to practice it on daily basis. From the workshop, I came to know that yoga is not about physical wellbeing but ultimate spiritual attainment that couldn’t be achieved without good health. Through this letter in your esteemed daily, I want to appeal to all the readers to participate in such workshops if possible and practise yoga on daily basis for a better life.

Subject: International Yoga day celebration in the locality
I am the secretary of the Sixteen Jewels club, Bablapur, going to organise a workshop as well as a seminar in our locality on the occasion of International yoga day. Through this letter in your esteemed daily, I want to express my opinion about the relevance of such programs and the enormous importance of yoga in our modern-day life.
India is the land of ancient sages who gifted us the treasure of yoga. The entire world is now obsessed with its enormous benefits. UNESCO has recently announced to celebrate the 21st of June as the international yoga day. Though globalised, modern western yoga focuses only on the physical well-being part of this ancient practice. But yoga was never meant for only physical well being but always specifically focused on achieving ultimate spiritual attainment.
So, our goal is to reintroduce the people of India to the ancient tradition of Indian yoga that aimed to create a better society with better minds. Here the relevance lies for such programs and I earnestly request you to allow this letter a little space that more such organisations get inspired to organise such events.

Subject: Effectiveness of Yoga during lockdown
Through this letter to your esteemed daily, I want to express my opinion about the importance of yoga during the lockdown imposed due to the global pandemic.
The pandemic has hit our world hard and as a preventive measure, lockdowns have been imposed in almost every part of the globe. During this time, the work from home culture emerged and we all got stuck between the walls. Gyms and parks got closed, travel got restricted and eventually, our physical and mental health deteriorated. In such a situation, the ancient Indian tradition of yoga can be our ultimate saviour. Yoga doesn’t only improve physical health but also takes care of mental wellbeing. Most importantly, we can practice yoga with its entire effectiveness at home.
So in my opinion, yoga can effectively bring down mental anxiety, and other emerging mental and physical complications due to the lockdowns. Through your column, I want to appeal to the readers to incorporate yoga as your daily habit for a healthy life.

Subject: Yoga to be included in school syllabus
This letter to your esteemed daily is intended to evaluate the recent decision by the government to incorporate yoga into the syllabus of the school.
The central government education department has recently announced to incorporate yoga in the school syllabus. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that has become very popular due to its enormous effectiveness in improving physical and mental well being. Many western countries have already adopted yoga at their school level. Under this decision by the government, yoga will be included in the existing syllabus of physical education from the 5th to 12th standard. Highly qualified yoga trainers will be recruited to teach the students proper postures of the asanas.
With this incorporation of yoga from the school level, the students will grow healthy both physically as well as mentally and hence the future of the nation will be improved. To the criticisms this decision is facing, I want to say that yoga is not directly connected with any specific religion. Rather it is an effective way of healthy life.
