Dear Diary,

My grandfather hails from the village of Basirhat, a beautiful place as per the stories I have heard and we finally decided to visit there. The trip took us a few hours from my hometown and as we got closer the flora started to get denser, temperatures seemed to lower down and the breeze from the nearby river was refreshing.

We planned our visit in December, here the sky was clear with sunlight cascading all over but there was no heat, just a light river breeze. My grandparents were thrilled to see us come over, and we were welcomed very warmly. I had last seen them years back but the love and affection they both held for me were still the same.

The most memorable memory that I have of that time was going to the paddy fields early in the morning with my grandfather. Running along the field covered in dew with cold morning airbrushing by my face was a feeling I never experienced before.

I came back from the visit with a lot of memories like the village scenery or my grandmother cooking delicious food, and I will cherish them forever. I hope to go visit them and their beautiful village soon.

Hints: Your purpose for visiting? – Your experience in the village- Why would you go back there?

Dear Diary,

I have been waiting eagerly for my cousin’s wedding. The wedding will be held in our native village, and going there was a wish come true for me. It took us an overnight journey to reach our native place. The towering banyan tree right at the centre of the village was something you would notice immediately, with bare brick cottages placed surrounding its perimeter.

As we were led to the guest house, I saw the pretty village layout filled with a mixture of mud and brick houses, surrounded by a variety of trees. The marriage ceremony happened in the evening and the venue was decorated with plenty of diyas and lanterns giving a vintage ambience.

The ceremony was the most memorable ceremony I remember, the chanting of the mantras, the dhak playing made us all feel great. The food was especially good, the desert to live for. With the bodhu biday– the bride leaving the venue with her husband, the ceremony came to an end. I have had many wonderful memories during my stay there and I hope I can visit it soon.

Visa Guide:  Write a Short Diary Entry Describing the Circumstances

Dear Diary,

A week ago my friend Ram, invited me over to their home in R.H Puram village, Andhra Pradesh. I met Ravi in our boarding school, and he has been telling me amazing stories about his village. I was curious to see his place and so agreed to visit. The trip took me an overnight journey by car, and I reached there early in the morning.

A warm greeting from my friend and his family left me feeling happy and welcomed. They had a beautiful home surrounded by coconut and palm trees with a cold sea breeze flowing over. I have never seen such a serene place and the village seemed magical.

The best memory I have of this place was visiting the nearby beach, miles of greenish-blue water spread out as far as your eyes can see. The beach had a few fishing boats scattered on the beach. We all had a great time playing around in the water, building sandcastles and running around the beach. I had a great time there with some of the best memories to take back with me.

Dear Diary,

My teachers decided to take a trip to a village on the perimeter of the Ramnagara district. The speciality of this village was its popular rock climbing clubs. The school made arrangements for such activities and all of us were really excited about it. The trip was fun with all my friends singing along to songs and we soon reached the village.

A sumptuous breakfast awaited us in a village Dhaba, the food was amazing and their hospitality made us all feel very welcome. A tour in the village was taken right after to see an array of beautiful mud homes with hand-painted walls. The tour ended with us going to a rock climbing club where we did activities like the zipline and rappelling.

The feeling of zooming past in the zipline is a feeling I will never forget. The day ended with us watching a small village play performed specially for us and then we headed back home. The time I spent there will forever be cherished by me. I pray that I get to visit there again soon with my family and friends.
