Diary writing, a tricky question to entertain if one does not know its format, resulting in a deduction of marks. The structure of a diary entry is immensely important from an examination point of view, and in these four sets of examples you will learn about the correct format of a diary entry on the topic- describe how you take care of your pet.
It is important to note down that the word limit for each of these sets is appropriate.

Dear Diary,
I am so excited to care for my dear pet dog, and I can not wait to pen down my experience!
Scooby, my dog is a birthday gift from my aunt. She knew how much I loved dogs so she got a lovely little beagle for me. Scooby is a beautiful dog with dense shiny brown and white fur. He loves to play around the house, biting and fetching things from all around.
Being a dog lover I always wanted to take care of one. Scooby is only 4 months old, he has a normal diet with mostly fibre and water in it. Taking care of Scooby is not that hard. He needs a lot of love, some grooming and bathing when needed.
But most important of all are the daily walks we take around the park. Scooby is the best thing that happened to me and I hope to take care and love him forever!

Dear Diary,
The days are passing by very happily since Pablo came into my life!
Pablo, my black furred kitten is the most adorable thing that has happened to me. Though Pablo is a great nuisance while taking baths, and has scratched all the furniture in my house, I still love him dearly.
Pablo is an expert when it comes to eating, tuna flavoured cat treats are its favourite. He is low maintenance, but I have made sure to get all the necessary medical checks done.
Pablo loves sleeping, eating and most importantly playing with cat toys. I have to be careful when he gets all jumpy in the balcony but otherwise Pablo takes care of himself very well.
Pablo has been the best thing that has happened to me and I hope to love him dearly and continue taking care of him in the future.

Dear Diary,
I have always been fascinated with birds, and today I can’t wait to pen down my experience in taking care of Misti, my lovely pet parrot.
Misti came into my life very recently and I am still learning how to take good care of it. The few things that I have been taking care of is cleaning the bird coop every other day.
Misti is an adorable parrot skilled in attempting mimicry, though I hope to see her perform it well someday. Flying around my room is one of her favourite activities of the day.
Taking care of Misti does not take much effort, I buy my bird food from the market and green chillies are her favourite kind of treat. So although she is low maintenance, she is always fun. I hope to continue having such fun and build these beautiful memories together.

Dear Diary,
I have always been fascinated with the world of water and the beautiful creatures that dwell in it.
So when I got a chance to keep a beautiful turtle, I leapt at it. Though unusual I have named him Flash, as he is unusually fast for a turtle. To house him I revamped an aquarium suitable for a turtle.
Flash hardly takes any space, his days are mostly occupied by lazing around and eating tasty treats of water lettuce. I also feed him some animal proteins as it is needed during the growth phase of young turtles.
The best thing about flash is that he is very self-dependent. While taking care of him, Food, a clean environment and some good amount of light is all I need.
I hope to discover more fun ways to play and take care of Flash in the coming days.
