In the last letter, I wrote about the earth day celebration in your school. There you also wanted to know about my experience of this earth day celebration. Through this letter, I want to let you know about the earth day celebration program organised by my school.
Every year on April 22nd earth is celebrated in our school with great grandeur. We put a little step forward and take small initiatives to make our earth a better place. This year’s theme was ‘Sustainable Development, Sustainable civilization’. On earth day, all the students reached our school in the early morning. Under the theme moto, we participated in a campaign protesting against purposeless deforestation, over-consumption of fossil fuel, promoting clean energy etc.
To be honest, we have gotten overwhelming responses to this campaign. Now we are even thinking of continuing this campaign once every month. What do you think of this idea? Let me know in your next letter.

It’s been a long time since I got any letters from you. How are you doing? How is your school going? You know, on the occasion of this year’s Earth Day, I have participated in a tree plantation ceremony organised by my school. Through this letter, I want to share that experience with you.
This was the first time our school took an initiative to celebrate Earth Day. To be honest, before my school notified us, I didn’t know that such a day even existed. The best part is while notifying us about the program the school has distributed pamphlets among the students to spread awareness about Earth Day. From there, we came to know the significance of celebrating Earth Day. On the 22nd of April, we came to the school early in the morning. 5 plants were given to each student. Under the supervision of our class teacher, we planted them in the adjacent area of our school.

I have just finished reading the last letter you wrote to me. There you asked me about my school’s initiative on the occasion of the last Earth Day. In this letter, I want to share my experience with the last earth day in my school.
Every year our school takes innovative initiatives to celebrate earth day. This year was not an exception as well. Our school authority decided this year to launch a pollution-free environment campaign on this noble occasion. On the very day after reaching the school, our headmaster addressed all the students and explained the significance of this campaign. Our other teachers also explained how the environment on our planet is degrading due to various human activities. After that, we participated in a procession promoting the need for a pollution-free environment. There we appealed to the common public to reject single-use plastics and work individually to make the earth a better place.

How are you doing nowadays? You know, recently on the occasion of this year’s Earth Day, I participated in a ‘Clean India, Safe India’ campaign organised by my school. Through this letter, I want to share that amazing experience with you.
Our school had decided to launch a ‘Clean India, Safe India’ campaign on the occasion of this year’s Earth Day. All the students were notified accordingly. After reaching the school on Earth Day, we cleaned our classroom with brooms, collected all kinds of wastes from the school compound and dumped them in a proper bin. Then under the supervision of our class teachers, we sanitised our school compound and adjacent areas with bleaching powder. After that, a procession was launched from our school promoting the need for a clean environment. We walked in that procession holding handmade awareness placards and banners.
It was quite an amazing experience. From now, I will wait to take part in next year’s Earth Day celebration.
