Today I am writing to you to draw your precious attention to an incident that happened to me a few weeks ago.
I was on my way back home from the market with my hands all engaged with bags of stuff I bought from the market. While I was walking, I heard a loud sound of motors from behind me. Right when I was about to look back to investigate, the sound came closer and passed by a hairline distance from my body. It was a motorbike which was speeding. Amongst the hullabaloo, regaining from the momentary shock, I realised that one of my bags fell and all the vegetables were scattered on the street and the biker, not being able to keep balance, fell and hurt himself. Many people rushed to help him and a few came forward to help me gather my stuff. Police were called when we found out that he was drunk. Drunk driving is a deadly killer. Not only it harms the one who is driving but harms the people around as well.
Hence, it is my humble request to publish this incident, asking the pedestrians to be more careful while walking and also highlight this issue to make the young bikers aware of the problems that elders or any other people of the surrounding face on the streets.

I was reading a book on my balcony at around 11:20 pm and I heard two loud screeches back to back. The street was quite empty. It immediately grasped my attention and I bent forward to investigate what was happening. I witnessed a car coming forward at a high speed and it seemed like it had lost all control. The horror-struck me when I saw the car hit a big tree. The car’s bonnet was crumbled and the driver inside the car probably collapsed. My father immediately called the police station and an ambulance. We later came to know that the man faced several injuries and was drunk while causing the accident.
Therefore, I humbly request you to publish this piece so that the concerned authority might take more drastic steps to stop drunk driving and people become more aware of the fatality of their action of drinking and driving.

I am a college student. I find most people have a personal vehicle nowadays – be it a car or a two-wheeler. Every day I see many of my college mates getting drunk and driving their way back home from the party at a very high speed. When talked about the issue by other people, the ones possessing the vehicles never take it seriously. If the habit of drinking can be separated from the action of driving, accidents can be avoided very easily. The deadly consequences of drunk driving include the possible death of anyone on the streets – humans and animals. The driver or/and the pedestrians might get severely injured due to the lost control of the vehicle and dimmed consciousness of the driver of the vehicle. Also, we are aware that drunk driving is highly against traffic rules as one might need to pay a heavy fine if caught drunk while driving a vehicle.
Therefore, it is my humble request to publish this and put a light on the consequences of drunk driving and how this might hurt them or others on the streets.
