In this lesson, you will learn how you can write processings of masks. Here, I am going to write two sets of sample processing on the same topic.
Example 1
Question: Study the following points and write a paragraph on how a mask is made.
Points: Gathering some cotton fabric, elastic bands, scissors, pins, a needle and thread – Cutting the fabric to around 25cm x 15 cm – Placing two 25cm x 15cm pieces of fabric on the top of each other – Folding over the longer sides of the material around 0.5cm – Pinning and hemming – Folding over the sides of the material around 1.5cm – Pinning and hemming – Threading the elastic bands through the sides – Tying the elastic bands and tucking the knots inside the hem – Sewing to keep the bands in place – Using the mask
The Process to Make a Mask
Using a mask can protect us from getting viral infections and diseases. Masks are a necessity today. A mask is prepared in the following way. First, some good quality cotton fabric, a few elastic bands, scissors, pins, a needle and thread are gathered. Then the fabric is cut so that we have two 25cm x 15cm pieces. After that, the two pieces are laid on top of each other.
Then the longer sides of the fabric are folded over around 0.5cm and pinned in place. Then they are hemmed. After that, the shorter sides are folded over around 1.5cm and pinned in place. Then they are hemmed as well. After that, two elastic bands are taken and threaded through the hems on the sides. Then the bands are tied and the knots are tucked inside the hems. After that, the bands are sewed to keep them in place. Then the mask is ready to be used.
Example 2
Question: Study the following points and write a paragraph on how a mask is made (no-sew):
Points: Taking a 50cm x 50cm bandana or handkerchief and 2 hair ties or elastic bands – Laying the bandana out flat – Folding it into half – Folding the top third down and the bottom up to meet it – Threading through 2 elastic bands, 12cm apart – Folding each side to the middle and tucking in the ends – Using it as a mask
Processing of Mask (No-Sew)
Using a mask can protect us from getting viral infections and diseases. It is very important to wear a mask these days. A no-sew mask is prepared in the following way. First, a 50cm x 50cm bandana or handkerchief is taken.
Then two hair ties or elastic bands are also taken. After that, the bandana is laid out flat. Then it is folded in half. After that, the top third is folded down and the bottom is folded up to meet it. Then two elastic bands are threaded through and placed 12cm apart. After that, each side is folded to the middle and the ends are tucked in. Then the mask is ready to be used.
