Dear Diary,

My joy knew no bounds when my father decided to take us to Shimla for a vacation. I had heard so many beautiful stories about it. The trip took us six hours from Delhi and was one of the most scenic drives I had ever taken. As the car drove up the winding road we could see the beautiful valley below. The sunlight cascaded over the valley painting a beautiful scene. Shimla is a beautiful city specially Mall Road.

It was a mix of British architectural monuments and an array of shops surrounding them creating a unique ecosystem. I especially remember taking a horse ride there and having a feast on dim sums from local stalls. From the cold weather to the beautiful scenic Himalayas, to the wonderful people and cuisine I experienced here will be forever cherished and I hope to visit soon.

Dear Diary,

My class teacher had given us a week’s notice for our school trip to Shimla and all of us were very excited to go and visit there. This trip was both educational and for leisure. Travelling the winding Himalayan roads with all of us singing and dancing in the bus was amazing. Shimla is known for its many tourist attractions but the one I loved most, was the visit to Christ Church.

It is the second oldest church in northern India with beautiful architectural structures of beauty and culture. I also enjoyed the food there, the local cuisine was something very different from what I am used to. Auntie’s Kitchen was a small restaurant there that catered excellent Chinese dishes, which I instantly fell in love with. The memories of Shimla will always be cherished and I hope to visit again soon.

Dear Diary,

My father’s family hailed from Shimla, and after my grandparents retired they moved back there. This was going to be my first trip there and I was really excited. It took me an eight-hour journey by bus and my grandfather was there to receive me from the bus station.

My grandparents own a beautiful cottage there with pine trees surrounding the area. Although it is towards the perimeter of the city the scenic view from there is amazing.

The best memories I have of Shimla are going to small treks up the mountain with my grandfather early in the morning, playing around in the grass fields while enjoying the beautiful view. I had a lot of fun in Shimla with loads of cherished memories. I hope to make some more memories when I come back here to visit them again.

Dear Diary,

I was very happy to know that we were going to Shimla to attend my cousin’s wedding. This was the first destination wedding I attended and to go to a beautiful place like Shimla was a dream come true. We reached there early morning and were received warmly by my cousin, after taking some rest I was able to explore this beautiful resort in the heart of Shimla city.

The view was perfect with beautiful pine trees surrounding the resort. The wedding ceremony was great, the open pavilion was beautifully decorated and all of us spent this joyous occasion together. The next day we went on a tour to the best tourist spots of Shimla and had a lot of fun there, especially the tour of Mall Road. The memories of Shimla as well as the wedding is something I will always remember and I hope to visit soon.
