Subject: Lack of garbage bins resulting in scattered garbage around the school

Sir,

I am a student of class 11 from Nabinpally high school. I am writing this letter to you to address the issue of scattered garbage due to the lack of garbage bins around our school area.

Perhaps you know that our school is located in the middle of two large markets. The constant chaos already affects our school’s environment a lot. But there has been another issue of scattered garbage around the school. This garbage is mainly the waste materials from the markets. Every day after around 12 noon, we start getting bad smells from that scattered garbage here and there beside our school. After talking to the market committee, we’ve come to know that the main problem is the lack of garbage bins in the area. Due to this, they do not have any other options for dumping those waste materials except dumping them here and there beside the school.

So, through this letter, I want to earnestly request you to install an adequate number of municipal garbage bins around the market so that the vendors do not have to dump them beside our school.

Yours Sincerely,

Subject: Scattered garbage problem due to unavailability of garbage bins

Sir,

I am a resident of 2/61 Bablapur area, writing this letter to you to let you know about a problem we’re facing due to the unavailability of garbage bins in our area.

Almost 200 families live in this Bablapur area and here we don’t have a single garbage bin installed from the municipal corporation. Every morning the garbage collection van comes from door to door and collects the previous day’s garbage. But for 200 families, only that is not enough. That’s almost every day we have to face scattered garbage here and there on the street. Moreover, the stray animals scatter the garbage further. Now we’re being afraid of disease due to this unhygienic condition of our area.

To resolve this issue we need a dedicated garbage dumping corner in our locality. Only a single permanent dumping corner from the municipality will serve our purpose. Through this letter, I want to request you to look into this matter and take the necessary steps as required.

Yours Sincerely,
Rumi Bannerjee

Subject: Lack of garbage bins in terms of population

Sir,

I live at 72A Bottola Road, Uttarpara. Today my letter is intended to attract your kind attention to the issue of lack of garbage bins in our area.

We have around 5 garbage bins in our locality. One of those bins is currently damaged and hence the other four are in usable condition. But, I would like to let you know that our locality is one of the most densely populated areas in the city. Around 400 families live here. Due to this, the quantity of daily garbage is quite large and only 4-5 garbage bins are not enough for us. As a result, now we have to deal with scattered garbage on the streets every day.

We have tried to contact the municipality multiple times but got no response from them. So this is our third letter to the municipality requesting you to install at least 6 more garbage bins in our area to save us from this menace.

Yours Sincerely,
Aditya Bansal

Example 4

Subject: Nobody received personalised garbage bins

Sir,

We are residents of 21 Kathgola Road, Ghola. Today, I am writing this letter on behalf of the people of this area to let you know that nobody from our locality has received the personalised garage bins distributed by the municipality.

We have come to know that under the ‘Nirmal Bangla’ campaign two personalised garbage bins are being distributed to every family. People from other municipal areas let us know that they have already received the garbage bins. Even in our adjacent municipal wards, these bins have already been distributed. But we have yet to receive those bins. With this grievance, when we approached the municipal councillor of our ward but got no positive response from his side.

These customised individual garbage bins are very necessary for us as there is no dedicated garbage bin in our locality. So, through this letter, I want to earnestly request you to look into this matter and take the necessary steps so that we receive these customised garbage bins.

Yours Sincerely,
Barun Goswami
