Sub: Deplorable condition of the Gandhi Nagar Road since July.

Madam,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the Municipality regarding the wretched condition of the Gandhi Nagar Road.

Continuous heavy rainfall in the city had affected the road badly and it is almost a month since no action has been taken to change the condition. Innumerable potholes in the road have made it dangerous for motorists and pedestrians. The deplorable condition of the road attributes to the traffic jam in the area regularly. Residents along with office goers are in deep distress and the road should be repaired without any further delay.

In spite of informing the local authority, no action has been taken. Therefore on behalf of the residents of Gandhinagar, I request the Municipal Corporation and higher authorities to survey the conditions of the road and to find a solution to this long-standing problem.

Sub: Poor condition of the roads.

Sir,

I want to draw the attention of the authorities towards the condition of the road of our locality Sonarpur, South 24 Pargana.

The long stretch of road is completely in its worst condition for a long time. The road is broken and full of pits. It has been completely overlooked for a long time and become a source of great trouble for the residents. The vehicles are compelled to move at a snail’s pace and the rough condition of the road often promulgate road rage. Moreover, there is a hospital situated on the same road and the poor condition of the road credited to the distress of patients and ambulance.

The local authorities have turned a deaf ear to our requests and now I want to address the problems through your esteemed daily for the redressal of the long-standing problem.

Thanking You

Sub: Poor condition of the roads in our locality.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the Municipality regarding the wretched condition of the roads leading to our locality.

This is an important road leading to various hospitals, schools and office but unfortunately, the authorities are not concerned about the deplorable condition of the road. The roads are broken here and there with several pits taking a toll on the daily lives of the people. The poor condition of the road had been responsible for several accidents in the past two months. Heaps of construction materials on either side of roads contribute to extreme dust pollution. Adding to all these challenges low street light made it harder for motorist and pedestrians to access the road during the night.

I request the concerned authorities to look into the matter with urgency.

Thanking You

Last month the corporation had dug the roads near our locality to repair the water pipelines. Unfortunately, the roads have not been properly repaired since then. The heaps of garbage on side of the roads has attributed to regular congestion. Besides pedestrians, motorists face a lot of problems during the late hour. As monsoon is approaching we assume the problem may get aggravated making the accident-prone.

We have made numerous appeal to the governing body but no concrete action has been taken. Before the onset of the monsoon, the problem needs to be solved.

Thanking You
