Qutub Minar stands tall at 73 metres. It is made up of marble as well as red and white sandstone. Its construction was inspired by the minaret of Jam in Afghanistan but as most craftsmen and labourers working on Qutub Minar were local Indian men, one can see a mixture of Indian, Islamic and Afghan architectural styles in its original design. The minaret was also renovated and restored by multiple rulers throughout the course of time and thus, the final structure now is a unique fusion of different styles and ideas.
