The Army Public School, Vadodara organized a Cleanliness Drive under the mission of Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat Abhiyaan introduced by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

The main objective of this programme was to spread awareness among the students about the significance of Cleanliness and its benefits. All the students from classes 6th to 12th had participated in the program organised by our school.

The teachers, as well as all the non-teaching staff of the school, took part in the cleaning program of the entire school premises The sweepers of the school had to be the observers and were given the responsibility to instruct the students.

The programme was begun by cleaning the corners of the playground and parks.  Brooms and dusting sticks were picked with great enthusiasm and everyone started their jobs.

Some of the students did the dusting of the rooms. And others went to the playground to pick wrappers and litter lying scattered there. The wastes were properly disposed of in the dustbins. The program concluded with a short speech given by the honourable principal.

Cleanliness Drive in College Premises

To mark the ambitious mission of Clean India, Green India under the National Scheme of Swachh Bharat, Shresth Bharat, the students, faculties and correspondent staff of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Kolkata contributed their part on Saturday.

The students of the college had organised a rally to promote the Swachh Bharat mission. Mass awareness was created with Various slogans as the active participants signified the importance of hygiene in making India “disease-free”.

The famous collective group of the college, Team ENACT, performed a short “Nukkad Natak”, a small skit in the local premises which was witnessed as well as applauded by the audience.

COMMEMORATION OF SWACHH BHARAT PAKHWADA IN THE SCHOOL PREMISES

Our school celebrated Cleanliness Drive for Swachh Bharat- Swachhata Pakhwada from 29th July to 11th August 2020. The program was graced by the presence of the Director of Education, Mrs Santosh Bal inaugurated the program by commencing the oath ceremony.

Our school actively involved all its members to help to spread awareness about cleanliness and its nationwide implementation in order to achieve a healthier, greener and better India. The main highlight of this pakhwada was the Green School Drive. It was successfully organised with the combined efforts of the students, staff and teachers collectively.

This program consisted of a wide array of contests, seminars as well as quizzes. It reflected the level of knowledge as well as awareness among the participants. Various competitions like essay writing, slogan writing and poster making also took place, in which the students joined with overwhelming enthusiasm.

To develop a scientific vigour among students, A Science Exhibition was conducted as well. In that exhibition, students displayed their projects and models related to waste minimization and the sustainable development of the nation. A water harvesting model was also displayed with its practical application in the school premises to spread awareness about the importance of judicious consumption of water resources.

Cleanliness Drive in College Premises

The students, faculties and staff members celebrated the Swachhta Pakhwada commencing from 1st of August 2020 to 10th of August 2020 respectively. Under this event, all the members of the school took up great responsibilities to clean their college premises as well as the nearby localities.

The students and faculty were segregated into various groups who took up charge to clean various parts of the college. Halls, auditoriums and classrooms were swept and dusted. The gardens and playgrounds were cleaned. Many new saplings were also planted by the members.

The program was further carried out as a wide array of seminars, debates, conferences were organised which was witnessed by many college students. Live interactions with research scientists focussing on trending topics such as the Greenhouse effect, Global Warming, the El-Nino effect and many others ignited vigorous passion and energy among the young audience.

Arrangements for refreshment were also provided for the nourishment of the participants. The program was concluded with a short cultural program in which small skits and dances were performed to signify the significance of cleanliness.
