Dear Diary,

Today I had a thoughtful day and I want to share these thoughts with you.

Today we discussed child labour, and I have been thinking about it since. Often we get to hear about children barely 5 or 6 doing hard labour in construction sites or firecracker factories. During class, all of us were asked about our views regarding the topic and I still do not know if child labour is evil. No child wants to work and earn but some of them have no one to depend on to provide for them.

It is the responsibility of the governing body as well as each of us citizens to help these unfortunate children lead a better life. There should also be heavy punishment for anyone who exploits these children into petty crimes or heavy labour-intensive jobs. I have decided to help these children through an NGO and I hope to make a positive change in their lives.

Dear Diary,

Today I had a great day and can’t wait to pen it down.

Today I visited an event to educate children and help them get out of child labor. The organization has organized an event to educate children and a group of ten teachers had come together to teach these students primary education and we were asked to help facilitate the event. The venue was filled with children eagerly waiting for teachers to teach them.

It was a heartwarming sight to see so many of them learning and experiencing the joy of a normal childhood. The program will last for two months and these children will then be transferred to primary schools for further education. It has been a wonderful day full of service and looking at these children I feel fortunate to have a family and I hope to be of help to them in the future.

Dear Diary,

Today I had an exciting day and I want to share it all with you.

Today I went to an event against child labour from school. The event was organized by our school in favor of unfortunate children who are forced into child labour. The event included a group of 50 children with no prior educational background. There was a workshop conducted on the importance of saying no to child labour as well as children were given cell phone numbers they can connect to in times of need.

These children belong to a poor background and so we needed to suggest alternatives that would cover their basic meals.  Our school got in touch with a charity that made arrangements to take care of these children’s basic meals. I had an amazing day there and I hope to help as many of these children to go for a better life.

Dear Diary,

I had an amazing day going to a rally against child labour. This was organized by a welfare society my mother is a part of. I have always wanted to do some good for society and today I spread awareness against child labour. The rally started with participants carrying hoardings and shouting out slogans for all to hear.

The moto of this rally was to spread awareness to everyone on how child labour is harmful both to the individual and the society. In the nearby slum area, the participants explained to these households that educating children now will raise their standard of living in the future. Providing basic amenities to their children can be accessed for free in governmental institutions. Dear diary I hope today has been productive in reducing child labour at least to a degree and I know growing up I would like to do more for these underprivileged children.
