I’m very glad to know from your letter that you are hale and hearty. I cannot stop myself from sharing a horrible incident that happened while I was travelling by train.
My family and I were travelling to Santiniketan to attend my cousin’s wedding. The compartment we boarded was very crowded. After almost an hour we all managed to get seats. My parents were busy talking to each other while I dozed off reading a book. Sudden chaos in the train disrupted my sleep. An old woman was crying as someone had snatched away from her gold chain.
Luckily as the train was extremely crowded the thief couldn’t manage to elope. Passengers caught him by the collar and rescued the jewellery from him. Later he was handed him over to the railway authority. From this incident, I learnt to be extra careful especially while travelling by train and asking you to be alert also.
